This is the greatest college football season in history

First of all, let me tell avitable two things:

1) It’s a sports post. Shut the fuck up Avi.

2) I think your little video post is making rapid laps around the internet. I have had friends say “have you fucking seen….” and I tell them, “Yes, you got it from Avi. You might not have gotten it directly from him, but I’m pretty sure anyone that’s been here got it from him.

Anyway, today was a day that was full of chitterlings. We got to lay in a little bit and then had breakfast and a little tv.

We headed to the MIL’s house for a few hours of DSL install and the kids playing together.

And let me say this about the irish. I have no idea what their problem is at it relates to their utter fear of technology. I mean, my wife’s aunt and uncle live in Pittsburgh and they got air conditioning in their house until somewhere around the year 2000. And my MIL is getting highspeed internet…today. It’s 2007. Jesus. I think my kids would get highspeed faster than that.

Anyway, my goal today was to catch a little Michigan-Michigan State, then I took a sweet nap, then I figured we would get home and watch Notre Dame host Navy.

You know Navy. Service academy. Undersized athletes. Kids that actually study and need congressional recommendations to get accepted for appointment.

Conversely, on the other side of the ball, you have the best funded college program in the country. They have more money and more big money alumni than any other college. They have an exclusive TV deal with NBC (and Sirius satellite radio). They refuse to join a conference to further insure that they play in 8 million dollar BSC games.

And they had beaten Navy 43 years in a row.

Oh, and another thing Notre Dame does. For every tough opponent they schedule like USC and Michigan, they play Stanford, Navy, Army, Duke, UNC, etc. It’s fucking ridiculous. I simply don’t get it.

You see, this used to be a rivalry. Navy used to be good. But the Naval Academy outlawed athletic scholarships forever ago, and Notre Dame kept getting the best, biggest and brightest stars.

So 43 games and 44 years passed, and then came today.

Navy was undersized, out manned, out-fanned, out everything. And yet, they were in it. They led early, they led late, and they got the game to overtime.

And when push came to shove, when heart mattered, the little guys stood up, punched Goliath in the cock, hit on a two point conversion, withstood a HORRIFIC pass interference call for which officials should be fired, then stood up and stone cold stopped Notre Dame. At home.

And now, the fucking Irish are one and eight. That’s 1-8 for you dumb asses that can’t read. And they still have Stanford (who beat USC), so they could lose another game.

Good thing they fired a great coach and hired a fifty year old fat fucker, signed him to a ten year, 40 million dollar extension, and then put him on an all lard diet. If they were 13-0 every year, Weiss still wouldn’t live to get paid for half the contract.

And just as an aside, the shitass Weiss can’t even carry a two dollar hankie to avoid having snot running down his lip for the entire second half.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that this is still the greatest sports season ever.

P.S. I spent some time with my favorite Michigan State fan today. At the last second, his son called a bookie and placed 25 bucks on Michigan minus three and a half.

I gave Uncle Doowhite shit for about 45 minutes, came home and turned the game on.

Michigan scored with about 200 seconds to go. To take the lead. And to win. By four.

Sorry Doo. But the laughs with Pete and Mike made it totally worth it.
