I don’t know when exactly the transition will be complete, but I do know that it will be this weekend.
The transition I’m referring to is not the transition of me resolving my gender confliction, flying to sweden, and having a mangina installed.
The transition is me permanently switching from Blogger and our horrific web host stargate dot com to my very own internet home for my blog, our family website, our other domains and some other neat stuff that I’m not quite at liberty to talk about right now.
Anyway, the new location for my blog is:
One feature that I like is that I can require registration to read my stuff. I’m not enabling that now, but there are some neat related security features and a deeper ability to moderate commenting that I will enjoy in the event of another cyber-stalking incident.All of the old content will be moved, as will the links and other fun stuff. The upside is that I will now be able to sort new posts (and old) by category as well as the traditional archiving method.
I’ve added a blogroll for my favorite blogs, and will have some sub-pages with some neat stuff there as well.
Anyway, I’ve enjoyed learning about blogging and other people’s blogs here, but it’s time to take the next step and become an uber-blogger. Or an uber-dong. Actually, who’s kidding whom? I’m dongus rex, king of the dongs.
But at least I will now step into the 90’s and learn a little about web design and development. That’s especially pertinent given that I’ve been working in IT for almost 15 years now.
So that’s it. There’s nothing else to be said here at the blogger site. You will be redirected to my new blog in about ten seconds, which makes the fact that I wrote this much even stupider, but that’s who I am.
