Just a couple of pictures

That should bring a smile to your face.

Here’s a small one of Sophia looking quite happy:

Here’s one of the wife and I at the prom on May 3rd, 1986. How’s THAT for bizarre?? Twenty freaking years!!

And here’s a funny picture that shows how necessity is the mother of invention:

I’ll have more tonight, as soon as my wife gets one scanned and another one off the camera.

(She’s probably busy with laundry or cooking or something).

Love you honey!!

Not as bad as we expected

Although I am tired as shit.

Urchin 1.0 never woke back up last night, at least not as of my departure at 5:50am. Urchin 2.0 slept until 5:00am, at which time I fed her, changed her, and put her back to bed. (BTW, look for some pictures today. She’s three 14 weeks old and she’s over 15 pounds. Quite a sight actually).

While I was in the shower, I heard strange noises (no, it wasn’t Glenn). It was Sophia. The wife had brought her into our room and she was just smiling away and laughing and squealing. Good stuff.

Oh, by the way, for the record let me say that cleaning an electric blanket sucks total ass. Next time someone chunders on one, I think we’re buying a new one.

Speaking of which, honey…I forgot to hang the electric blanket back up, but you’ll notice that when you go in to get dressed. Sorry about that.

TTFN, dear readers. I’ll be back with some more stuff later…

And just so you don’t things are perfect…

I brought my lappy in tonight to track the monthly backups for the first time since we got our new LTO3 tape drive at work (yes, I’m a dork). Anyway, the wife and I are both sitting on the bed in deuling dorkland with our two laptops, and then it happened.

Urchin 1.0 puked.

In bed.

And on her new electric blanket.

So now, she can’t go to school tomorrow, we’ve had the emergency bed stripping and re-bath taking, and now we’re waiting to see if the phenergan stays down or comes up like before. The wife didn’t want to give her a cracker with the phenergan / tylenol combo, but I did.

Nobody’s right or wrong in this. It’s just the not knowing.

Anyway, instead of going to bed at 11:01pm after I was sure the backup ran, I’ll be up until at least 11:30pm and probably until morning since I’ll end up sleeping on urchin 1.0’s floor on bucket duty.

I’m watching them on the camera now, and we’ve had three bucket false alarms since she got back in bed.

Fingers crossed everybody.
